Catherine,

I love the new web site. Although I know that there is no blood tie, Payton looks like your beloved Obi and also Ella at the top of the page. In fact, Payton is asleep on the sofa as I type this.

Catherine,
Great choice for the top of the page and I love the candid shots too.

Ella still sleeps just like that. She has her very own pillow at the foot of the bed. I was tired of getting inched off of mine during the night! Ella's latest craze (aka: ECS OCD) is the new ( fenced in,of course) compost pile. She is getting lots of exercise and probably getting dizzy too, circling it so much. Murphy is finally smelling better this week (4+ baking soda/peroxide baths) after trying to make friends with the local skunks @ 5 AM !!!!

Congrats to all the new puppy owners. There is nothing better than an Arcata ECS! They are the sweetest, most lovable dogs ever.

Hello Catherine, love your new site and all of the wonderful puppy pictures! I bought Mel from you in 1999 - he is 10 1/2 now and still acts like a puppy although he is a bit gray! He looks so similar to the adorable black dog sleeping on the couch on your home page.

Hi Catherine, Just found your new website, looks great. Love the pics of the newer ECS. We are in love with our "Heidi girl" who we bought from you in 2005 (Easter). Can't believe she is 4 yrs old now. She is such a wonderful girl...she especially loves swimming in a local lake and retrieving sticks and balls from the water. She has a fabulous, loving temperment. So glad we found you all yrs ago for our sweetie. Best, Allie

Catherine, Love the website! Bailey adopted me in Nov. 1999. He will be 11 on Sept. 8. Son of Dillon and Juliet he is the spitting image of his mom. He started out as a shy guy like Lizzie. Working with him calmly helped him become a confident - yet gentle - guy. Now he is slowing down a bit, doesn't want to play with other dogs like he used too. I will be heartbroken when his day comes. Until then, another dog could not be loved more. Thank you for enabling me to have the best companion every. Janice

Hi Catherine.
We are still missing our dear Bosun and just writing his name still makes me sad. He was such a wonderful boy and we loved him dearly. Love looking at all the photo's and longing for a new pup in our lives. Please keep us posted on upcoming litters. We would truly love to have another of your ECS.
Fondly,
Lesley and George

Hi Catherine,
I just came across your site. Pictures make me want adopt again. We adopted from you Lillian (Lilly) in Nov 2005. She was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. You wouldn't tell now. She is very active, no limping or complaining of pain (maybe sometimes during very cold winter days). She is a very happy girl and the best friend to my 14 months old daughter. Thank you for my crazy lovely redhead Lilly.

Hi, Catherine,
I decided to look for your website because I have a friend whose mother is looking for a ECS and of course I would recommend Arcata.
You let me have my wonderful Max almost 5...or is it 6 years ago. I was living in Vermont then and now he and I have moved to Ohio. Prairies aren't quite as good as New England woods, but we've found some swimming holes and there are lots of rabbits to chase! He continues to be a sweet heart!
Thanks!
Rebecca

I just wanted to say that our little guy brought into our home in 2001 is the most loving and gentle dog anyone has ever known.

His name is Sidney and he truly is this man's best friend (in the canine world anyway). My daughter's love him as well. He has been healthy and loves living on the farm up in VT. He loves harassing the chickens but I think he is more afraid of them than they are of him! What a good boy. Great job folks.

Peace,

Tom
